Service Postpones Tomorrow's  Public Hearing on Proposed Wolf Delisting

Sacramento -- Due to a lapse in appropriations to support our Fiscal Year 2014 operations, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is postponing the public hearing scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, at the Clarion Inn Arden Conference Center in Sacramento, California.  This public hearing was scheduled to take comments on our recent Endangered Species Act proposed rule to list the Mexican wolf as an endangered subspecies in the Southwest and to delist the gray wolf elsewhere.

The Service will reschedule the hearing when the current funding lapse is resolved and we return to work. We regret any inconvenience this postponement may cause to any members of the public who may have made arrangements to travel to this hearing.

The mission of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is working with others to conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife, plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. We are both a leader and trusted partner in fish and wildlife conservation, known for our scientific excellence, stewardship of lands and natural resources, dedicated professionals and commitment to public service. BUT --- However...

The USFWS "hearing" might be off but,

WE THE PEOPLE Public Hearing is ON  !!!

Yes, please join us tomorrow in Sacramento for Wolves in Government Clothing as originally planned.

Here's what to expect:
3:30-4:00pm    Wolves in Government Clothing documentary screening

4:00-4:30pm

“Reality Check: Consequences of Mixing Wolves with People” (Siskiyou County Sheriff Jon Lopey and David Spady)
4:30-5:00pm   How Radicals Abuse the Endangered Species Act” (Jonathan Wood, Environmental Attorney, Pacific Legal Foundation)
5:00-6:00pm Our own Public Hearing and Dinner buffet  (dinner free for registered or confirmed participants)

Note, Defenders of  Wildlife will be just down the hall from us.  They gathered over 145,000 pro-wolf comments so far and they are in FULL FORCE and not slowing down.  Tomorrow, they are hosting, at the same time, in the same hotel, a festive pro wolf event, arranging car shares for people to attend, etc. to continue their massive effort for more wolves/wolf introduction in California.

Who is Defenders of Wildlife?  Tax form 990s show they have assets of over $32Million, past and/or current directors include Ed Asner, Tom Brokhaw, Ashley Judd, David Corwin, CEO Sears Roebuck, etc.  Their president is the former USFWS director.  So, not only does she get ~$500,000 a year salary to force wolves on us but she gets her government pensions as well to partner with government insiders to destroy rural America.  Tax forms also show they funded wolf vaccination programs ... REALLY?  Is that "natural" ???

Defenders of Wildlife is proceeding with "aggression" (another goal as witnessed in their tax forms).  In fact, they have several hundred people showing up between their Pro-wolf event tomorrow in Sacramento and in New Mexico on Friday.  These folks are at war with us and feeding similar propaganda to the public, they are highly funded, and have Center for Biodiversity, Sierra Club, Friends of the River, The Nature Conservancy and more on their side.

PLEASE COME, INVITE FRIENDS, AND LET'S FIGHT BACK STARTING TOMORROW!!!!
